This is a cork flooring that was glued down over a beautiful pine floor.  The owners wanted to restore the original flooring and add a medallion in the center of the room.

Picture

We started by removing the cork flooring with a power scraper.

Then we removed the glue with a diamond brush on one of our machines to clean the floor to the original wood.

We sanded the floor to remove the scratches from the diamond brush and then removed a section of floor to install the medallion.

We installed the medallion.

Finally we stained and finished the floor.
